4/23 Co-present Google Slides in Google Meet

Modified on Tue, 25 Apr 2023 at 03:06 PM

19.4.2023 I Google Meet

In the near future Meet presenters will be able to assign others as co-presenters when presenting a Slides deck. This will eliminate the need for others to constantly ask for “next slide please”, leading to smoother transitions and minimal distractions in a meeting with multiple presenters. Co-presenters will be able to navigate the presentation and start and stop possible media (e.g. videos) within the presentation.

This feature requires a computer with a Google Chrome browser.

How to add co-presenters?

  • 1. Start a presentation by clicking on the Present now button at the bottom of the Meet screen > A tab > Select the Slides presentation tab and click Share

  • 2. On the bottom right of the presentation, click Start slideshow

  • 3. Click the Add co-presenters button (icon with a person and a plus symbol) on the slideshow control panel, or open the People list on the bottom right corner

  • 4. Next to the person you want to add as a co-presenter, click More (three dots) > Add as co-presenter > Add

Co-presenters will be notified that the primary presenter has assigned them as co-presenters.
