21.7.2022 I Google Meet
Do you want to offer your customers the opportunity to watch a live stream of a training event or a new announcement on live? Now it's possible thanks to the new update on Google Meets, which allows the meeting to be recorded and streamed to YouTube. The feature is enabled for Google Workspace users by the admin.
In a Google Meet call, from the bottom right, click Activities .
Select Live streaming Stream with YouTube.
On the “Event Info” panel, select an event or create a new event.
If you create a new event, enter the following details:
Event title
Privacy level
The language for captions displayed on YouTube
Review YouTube’s Terms of Service.
Click Start Streaming.
From the panel, copy the Live stream link.
Share the link with anyone you want to attend your YouTube Live stream.
To end the Live stream, click Stop Streaming.
Tips:
You can’t pause a YouTube Live stream which has been initiated from Meet. You can end a Live stream and create another one from within the same meeting.
The streamed video from Meet might get uploaded to YouTube and be accessible to users for later viewing. If necessary, the channel owner can delete the video after the meeting.
You can initiate a live stream in Meet by navigating to the Activities panel > Live Streaming and selecting your channel from the list. To initiate a YouTube live stream through Meet you should have your YouTube channel approved for live streaming in advance. Note that it can take up to 24 hours to get your channel approved for live streaming.
