19.7.2022 I Google Meet
Google Meet now allows meeting participants an anonymous way to ask questions or participate in a survey organized during the meeting. The feature is automatically visible to participants in the comment field as a reply method, but can be disabled by the meeting host or co-host. In polls, the anonymous response method is automatically turned off, but can be turned on when creating it.
To turn on Q&A
In the meeting, tap the screen Menu Host Controls .
Scroll to "Meeting Activities" and turn on Allow Questions in Q&A .
Tip: By default, questions can be asked anonymously. To disallow this, uncheck Allow Anonymous questions .
Ask a question
When you ask a question, everyone in the meeting gets a notification.
When you ask a question anonymously, your details are hidden from:
Other meeting participants
The moderators
Your Workspace Admin
The feature can be used for example in large meetings, where the possibility to answer anonymously can encourage participants to participate in the discussion.
