13.7.2022 I Google Meet

The integration between Google Meet and Miro Whiteboard now enables a new more immersive and collaborative whiteboard to be used in meetings. For example, you can use the post-it notes found in Miro during the meeting which work like real post-it notes. Miro's ready-made templates also enable, for example, a chance to create mind maps and roadmaps together from their own devices during a Google Meet meeting.

Launch a Miro board from Meet

To launch a Miro board, you can:

  • Launch as a guest not signed in to a Miro account.

  • Sign in to your Miro account.

Tip: If you prefer to maintain an archive of all your Miro boards or want to make it easier to access your previously created boards, you should launch Miro after you sign in to your Miro account.

  1. In a Google Meet meeting, at the bottom right, click Activities .

  2. Under “Add-ons,” click Miro .

  3. If it’s your first time using Miro, click Get Started.

  4. Select an option:

    • Create a board without registration .

    • Sign in to choose a Miro board .

  5. Tip: If you’re signed in to your Miro account before you join a meeting, you'll automatically find your created boards and an option to create a new board.

  1. If you click Create board without registration, a new Miro tab will automatically open for you. If you decide to sign in, you must first select between a new or an existing board and then select one of the access settings:

    • Anyone can edit: Guests don't need to sign in to their Miro account to edit the board. Guests still have to sign in to their Google Account.

    • Anyone can comment: Guests don't need to sign in to their Miro account to add comments to the board. Guests still have to sign in to their Google Account.

    • Anyone can view: Guests don't need to sign in to their Miro account to view the board. Guests still have to sign in to their Google Account.

    • Private: Your in-meeting participants need to sign in or create a Miro account to access the Miro board.

  2. After you select one of the access settings, a new Miro tab will automatically open.
